Each semester scholarships are awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester, to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.
Among the students enrolled in the 1st Semester 2025-26 of the Globalization Program, three were selected as RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) scholarship recepients:
Benedetta Alleruzzo, Bachelor student of Global Governance in the School of Economics at Tor Vergata University of Rome
Kamila Datbayev, Master student in Computer Science at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany
Maria Tarasova, Master student in Philology at European University at St. Petersburg, Russia
The RED scholars are expected to actively contribute to promoting and organizing co-curricular activities such as the Tea2B and Plenary Workshop.
The Tea2B are weekly informal conversations taking place at VIU on key topics that involve students, professors, and staff. The chosen topics for this semester can be found here.
The Plenary Workshop is a key VIU event in which professors and students of the Globalization Program explore and discuss a chosen theme. This semester's theme is Transitions.
