We interviewed Prof. Shefer to learn more about her experience at VIU in the Globalization Program.

“Usually when we say that a program is international, we mean that students from all over the world come to one university and study with local faculty and local students. But here it is totally different. There is a real global mix.”

“How would I describe it… in one word WOW, in three words “what an experience”, it was fascinating, it certainly exceeded my expectations. It is truly a global program, it enabled me to interact with colleagues and students from all over the world and of course being here and being able to go to the wonderful historical public libraries and carry on my own research it was a winning combination.”

“The Globalization was certainly unique. Being in Venice, which speaks about history, lives history was dreamy rewarding. Being able to go on so many excursions inside the city and outside is a wonderful program, which I whole heartedly recommend to anyone.”
