Avik was at VIU on various occasions: the Summer Session course on “Consumption and the Environment: African and Global South Perspectives” during summer 2025, then he came back for a Globalization Program course in the spring semester 2026 on “The Mediterranean Diet: Food, History, Culture, Health” and also had the opportunity to join a Graduate Seminar this spring 2026 on “Zero Hunger’s Goal: the Global Challenge of a Sustainable and Quality Food for All”.
