Venice International University is pleased to host the meeting "EU, Geopolitics and International Trade", the second event in the Caffè dell'Europa series, a popular format developed by the European Parliament – Milan Information Office to meet the citizens in an open and engaging forum to explore some of the most pressing issues currently facing the EU.

This informal discussion, held in English, invites students, faculty, and members of the public to reflect on the European Union’s role in a rapidly changing global landscape, with a particular focus on recent trade tensions with the United States.

Discussion topics will include:

  • U.S trade tariffs and their implications
  • EU countermeasures and negotiation strategies
  • Broader geopolitical and economic scenarios

Caffè dell’Europa is part of the City of Venice’s Europe Day celebrations, which will continue throughout the month of May.

This event is also part of the VIU Tea2B meetings, the informal gatherings held on Mondays in office 2B that offer a weekly opportunity for professors and students to discuss several topics in a friendly environment, over a cup of tea.

All members of the VIU community and external guests are welcome to attend.
Free drinks, subject to availability.
