The Closing Ceremony of the Fall 2019 term of the Globalization Program will take place on Thursday, 19 December 2019, at 5 pm, in Aula Magna.

Since September, over 100 students representing more than 25 nationalities throughout three continents have been attending courses taught by professors from VIU's member universities.

The Globalization Program brings together talented, motivated students from the member universities in a truly multicultural, international and interdisciplinary environment. Students enjoy a powerful learning experience in which they develop their capacity for critical thinking, working across disciplines, creatively embracing new ideas. The academic courses are complemented by an extensive program of co-curricular activities, taking students out of the classroom, and into the city of Venice for on-site classes, visits to cultural institutions, civic associations and businesses, and to places of historic and artistic significance.

The program of the Ceremony will include:

Opening Remarks, Prof. Luca Pes, Vice-Dean and Globalization Program Scientific Director
Award of Scholarships for Internships in Italy
Awards for Academic Excellence, selected by the Fall 2019 faculty

Students and professors are invited to share the pictures taken during the semester (especially the funny ones!): please send them to Natasha Zinos (or student-services@univiu.org) by next Monday, Dec. 16, and the best ones will be shown during the Closing Ceremony.

A farewell reception will follow.
