VIU's TeDIS Program has been successful in two applications for EU funding. 

Both projects have been funded through Italy-Croatia INTERREG funding instruments, with the program-specific objective of improving the quality, safety and environmental sustainability of marine and coastal transport services in the Program area. 

 - ICARUS: “Intermodal Connections in Adriatic-Ionian Region to Upgrowth Seamless solutions for passengers” (2019/2021)

The aim of the project is to promote car-independent lifestyes by providing integrated and interconnected transport services. The project will use innovative technologies to adapt smart mobility and provide incentives to behavioral change.

 - PROMARES: Promoting maritime and multimodal freight transport in the Adriatic Sea (2018/2020)

The project will develop strategies and pilot action to implement "port clustering", whereby ports, inland terminals and public authorities work jointly to develop efficient streamlined transport flows between ports and their hinterlands. The application of the most recent ICT systems will be pivotal.
