Venice International University is pleased to support the Young Musicians European Orchestra directed by Paolo Olmi, during the series of Christmas concerts which will take place in Italy and the Holy Land during the month of December.
Each year, before Christmas, the non-profit ERConcerti invites young musicians from all over the world to form an international orchestra and perform in the Christmas concerts. The aim is to promote culture and music and to facilitate communication and dialogue among peoples and religions.
This year, the program begins in Italy, in the Romagna region, where the young musicians will unite for rehearsals and concerts in Ravenna, Forlì and Rieti, where they will also meet children who have been affected by the recent earthquakes in central Italy.
On December 11, the youth orchestra will perform at the Quirinale, official residence of the President of Italy, and the concert will also be broadcast live on Radio Rai 3 and Euroradio.
In the Holy Land on December 12th and 13th there will be concerts in Jerusalem, in the Church of Notre Dame, and Bethlehem at the Auditorium for Peace.
The young musicians represent 15 countries, including Israel, Palestine, Russia, Canada, USA, Ukraine, Albania, Lithuania, South Africa and Japan.
The concerts will be directed by Maestro Paolo Olmi, and are organized by ERConcerti, with the patronage of:
