Application procedure and cost

Participants of VIU member universities: € 700 VAT incl.
Participants of other universities: € 1400 VAT incl.

The fees will cover tuition, course materials, lunches in the San Servolo cafeteria and social events.
Participants will be responsible for covering their own travel expenses to and from Venice, local transportation, and dinners. VIU Alumni are eligible for a reduced fee.

Limited scholarships may be available for participation fees, with additional grant support potentially covering accommodation (B&B) and on-campus dinners.

PhD candidates and post-docs from universities in EU universities may be eligible for Erasmus+ mobility grant support. Candidates should consult the International Office in their own university for information about the calls for applications for funding as well as for possible scholarships. VIU will provide any supporting documentation requested for such applications.

Accommodation

The cost of accommodation on VIU Campus for 8 nights, breakfast and municipal taxes included (Check in July 30, 2026 / Check out August 7, 2026) is:

- € 404 for a shared room (triple/quadruple) with bathroom

- € 684 for a single room with bathroom

Candidates can ask for VIU assistance for booking accommodation: please note that the facility is not managed by VIU.

In case of cancellation

- up to 90 days before the start date of the program, the tuition fee and the accommodation fee are refundable.
- between 90 days and 30 days before the start date of the program, 50% of the tuition fee and the accommodation fee are refundable.
- less than 30 days before the start date of the program, the tuition fee and accommodation fee are not refundable.
