Application procedure and cost

Students of VIU member universities and VIU Alumni: € 100 VAT included

Students of other universities: € 200 VAT included

The fees will cover tuition, course materials, lunches in the San Servolo cafe (5 working days on campus), and social events.

Student participants will be responsible for covering their own travel expenses to and from Venice, local transportation and accommodation.

Accommodation

The cost of accommodation on campus in shared rooms with other participants - triple or quadruple - is € 308 for 6 nights including taxes. Breakfast included. (Check in July 12 - Check out July 18, 2026)

Scholarships

20 scholarships are available to cover the accommodation costs on campus.

Depending on the outcome of pending funding applications, a limited number of scholarships may also be available to partially cover travel costs.

Students who wish to apply for a scholarship must indicate their interest for an accommodation and/or partial travel scholarship and explain in their motivation letter how attendance at the Summer School will benefit their studies and/or research.

Once selected, in case of cancellation

- Between 90 days and 30 days before the start date of the program, 50% of the tuition fee is refundable.
- Less than 30 days before the start date of the program, the tuition fee is not refundable.
