For students in any of the member universities in the second year of their Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale), who intend to pursue research for their Master’s thesis in themes related to the Globalization Program, and for advanced undergraduate students who are studying for a 4-year bachelor degree, who intend undertaking a final research thesis/project for credit.
Successful applicants attend the semester of courses at VIU followed by a research internship supported by a scholarship.
The research mobilities are for two to four months and start and end dates are fixed in collaboration with the host organization and depending on the projects which the students will pursue, and are usually completed by the end of December in the academic year following the courses at VIU (February-December 2022 for Fall 2021 students and September-December 2022 for Spring 2022 students).
Students interested in applying for the Worldwide Mobility program for Research Internships must complete at least two courses at VIU, during the same semester. VIU will also accept applications from students who have already completed at least two courses in the previous semester (2nd semester 2020-21 for applications in 1st semester 2021-22).
