The Island of San Servolo is an oasis in a unique urban setting, 10 minutes by boat from Piazza San Marco. Students can study, work, and relax in a peaceful park spread across 12 scenic acres with a panoramic view of Venice. In addition to this, students will have an extraordinary opportunity to study under conditions that are significantly different from their normal day-to-day studying environment. Professors, scholars and students from all over the world will be given the chance to interact and to share their experiences and knowledge.
VIU Facilities VIU facilities include lecture rooms of various sizes, conference and seminar rooms, classrooms, offices, a library with 4000 books, international magazines and 400 dvds about Venice, a pc room open to VIU students and professors all day round and a music room. VIU facilities offer broadband wi-fi connection. On the island of San Servolo you may also find a cafeteria where one can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and a bar.
