The first edition of the VIU Global Virtual Exchange will be in June 2021, and is open to all students in the member universities, from any discipline. Over four weeks you will engage in interesting conversations about topics that are relevant to their lives today. As a Virtual Exchange participant, you will be part of a diverse group of students from around the world. This will be an opportunity for you to learn from one another and make it a truly cross-cultural learning experience.
Marco Bottin is a 23-year-old Italian student in the fifth-year of his Law degree at the University of Padua. After studying at VIU for two semesters he will travel to Waseda University in Japan for a research internship within the Worldwide Mobility Program.
Lana Nastja Anžur is spending this year at VIU as part of her degree in Archeology and Management at the University of Ljubljana. During the first semester Lana was a RED scholar. She is now planning on staying in Italy for an internship having been awarded a scholarship in the VIU Internship program.
Eva-Carina Martschew enjoyed studying at VIU in 2020, even through the pandemic. After graduating with an M.Sc. in Biology from the LMU Munich she is pursuing a graduate degree in Intercultural Communication. She will return to Venice this summer for an internship at UNESCO supported by a scholarship in the VIU Internship Program.
Ariela spent a semester at VIU during her Bachelor degree in Governance and International Relations, Tor Vergata University of Rome. Afterwards she spent a semester at Tel Aviv University through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme.
Agostino De Rosa (Iuav University of Venice) chose to teach at VIU because he wanted his studies and research to have a broader audience and an opportunity for comparison with students and colleagues from other disciplinary fields and other countries.
Prof. De Rosa then participated in the VIU Erasmus+ exchange program with Tel Aviv University in 2019.

The RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) scholarships are awarded every semester to talented students to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program. Applications for students wishing to attend the 1st semester of 2021-2022: May 3 to June 5.

The University of Ljubljana faculties and academies offer more than 20 summer school courses in 2021 in various disciplines, from economic and business sciences, law to social work, pharmacy and technical sciences.
The summer programs at KU Leuven offer an unparalleled education specifically tailored to explore one subject in detail. This year both courses on campus and online will be on offer, and participants will be offerd extracurricular activities designed to highlight and develop topics presented in class.
Applications are open for the upcoming Bordeaux Summer Schools. Taking place between May and October 2021, the program offers a range of high-quality, international summer schools for graduate and doctoral students as well as young researchers, with topics covering a variety of disciplines.
