Literature and Culture in the Ancient World: Greece and Rome | March 26-April 7, 2023 |

The Advanced Seminar in the Humanities is open to 20 fellows who will be either in an advanced stage of doctoral research or will have recently completed their PhD. The program will consist of lectures by scholars with a seminar approach on the origins and development of literary genres and literacy in Ancient Greece and Rome. Some lectures will be on broad themes and issues, while others will be devoted to the interpretation of specific classical texts, with more focus on textual analysis.
Application deadline: December 30, 2022.

The 8th VIU Plenary Workshop was held on November 25, 2022 with the theme of focus as “Identity”. The event included talks, musical performances and displays of arts, either solo or in a group, course-led or on the initiative of the participants, aimed at exploring individuality and plurality from many perspectives.

Digital Citizenship: Exploring the Opportunities and Challenges of a Digitalized Society |

At the beginning of December, we held the on-campus seminar of this innovative blended intensive program that aimed to identify the worldwide challenges that digital citizenship entails and how to tackle these challenges, be they social, economic, environmental, or otherwise. The scientific coordinators were from KU Leuven, Waseda University and Stellenbosch University.
