The courses in the Globalization Program consist of 36 hours of tuition in class and include the participation in field trips, seminars and guest lectures held during the semester by VIU Professors and experts in the topics of the courses.
Attendance is compulsory.

- Comparative Business History: Japan and United States (Nobuo Kawabe, Waseda University)
- Social and Cultural Issues in Urban Planning in the 21st Century (Tovi Fenster, Tel Aviv University)
- Ethical Problems in Globalization: Governance, Multiculturalism and Paternalistic Intervention (Wilhelm Vossenkuhl, Ludwig Maximilians Universitaet)
- Alternative Paths toward Modernity (Sean Golden, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona)
Students admitted to the Globalization Program must choose two courses included in the program (one of the core courses and one of the other GP courses) and are encouraged to register for a third course among those offered in the Semester Program.

The Academic Senate of Ca' Foscari has declared that VIU-SHSS courses are valid for the academic careers of students of the university, and should be recognized for credit.
The Ca' Foscari Faculties of Economics and of Languages award 12 credits to the core courses of the program.
All other courses receive 6 credits (6cfu). Students can take any course as an elective (corso a libera scelta).
