May 10 & 24, 2007 VIU organizes a new cycle of lectures aimed at exploring the interrelation between creativity and innovation, and its potential for our society and economy. VIU has invited two managers from important technological companies that collaborate with VIU on research projects on creativity and innovation. This series of VIU Lectures is organized in collaboration with Designpeople and TURN, two professional communities of designers, in order to address the issues of creativity and innovation. | Joint Workshop on Sino-Italian Comparative Studies on Sustainable Development at TEN Center. 16 - 17 April, 2007 TEN Center held a joint workshop on Sino-Italian Comparative Studies on Sustainable Development in cooperation with Tsinghua University and SSAV – School for Advanced Studies in Venice. | VIU creates opportunities for research through international cooperation agreements VIU has signed cooperation agreements with international Universities to offer graduate students from the associated universities of VIU the opportunity to carry out research projects in cooperation with international research centers under the supervision of top experts in their field of research. This year there are four young Italian researchers carrying out research in Spain, China and the U.S and nine researchers from Tsinghua and Tongji Universities are currently attending courses in the PhD in Analysis and Governance of Sustainable Development. | Graduation ceremony of course in Business Internationalization Processes with knowledge of Oriental Languages. May 4, 2007 VIU President, Umberto Vattani presented diplomas to 25 graduate students of the program organized in cooperation with ICE - Italian Institute for Foreign Trade and in collaboration with the Oriental Institute of Naples. Diplomas were also awarded to the participants of four other programs in International Business promoted by the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade. |

| Europe in the Stormwind of Globalization, Keynote address by Hans-Werner Sinn. April 13, 2007 Prof. Hans-Werner Sinn was keynote speaker at the Graduation Ceremony of the School for Advanced Studies in Venice, the graduate school of which VIU is partner. Twenty candidates were awarded PhDs in Analysis and Governance of Sustainable Development, Network Economy and Knowledge Management, Economics and Organization, Theories and History of Arts. |
