VIU as coordinator of H2020 QUEST on Science Communication presented the project at the 10th International School of Science Journalism, devoted this year to “Big Projects for Science and Knowledge” (April 6-10, 2019)

The School, promoted by INFN and Le Scienze, and hosted by the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture in Erice (Sicily), Italy, supports 35 scholarships to international young professionals working in the field of Science Journalism and Science Communication. The objective is to promote close collaboration between scientists and communicators to ensure that information towards the wide public on big and complex science projects is accurate, thorough and as broad as possible.

In line with this objective, QUEST was presented to the School’s fellows as an outstanding experience of cooperation among scientists, scholars, journalists and communicators to investigate and provide tools to support Quality – and hence Effectiveness – in science communication. The 35 fellows and faculty have also been actively involved in such investigation through a survey which touches upon the key aspects of the project.
