Francesco Fiondella leads the program of media engagement and communications at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI), Columbia University.
As guest speaker in the VIU's "Critical Food Studies" class by Prof. Charles Thompson, Francesco will present the work IRI's is doing at the intersection of climate and agriculture. He will also show how a project IRI is conducting in Rwanda through the CGIAR (Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security) led him to pursue a journalism project called Data, Interrupted.
