Students are expected to read each assignment and to be prepared to engage in lively discussion in each class. There will be two papers – a short paper presented as a member of a team of students giving country-specific information about one region of the world (5 pages maximum) and a final paper discussing in depth either one country and its employment laws, policies and programs for women or an issue discussed in class (10-15 pages). It is expected that both research papers will include footnotes and references.
