Today's globalized world needs flexible minds, able to move across disciplines, capable of tackling contemporary challenges with innovative humanistic approaches, respecting diversity, understanding, communicating and working with people from other cultures. VIU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences provides a response in this direction.
The aims of the School are to:
promote activities combining innovative disciplinary approaches that cross the two fields of Humanities and Social Sciences promote activities that contribute to an understanding of the challenges posed by economic globalization, environmental change, technological innovation and multiculturalism promote a deeper and critical understanding of Venice and its region promote mutual understanding among students and Faculty that come from different countries cooperate with other institutions of the Venice area (eg.
