Editorial secretary of “Il Tolomeo”, journal of Post-colonial Literatures in English and French. Main fields of interest: Shakespeare and post-colonial theory and literature. Author of La metaorfosi di Otello. Storia di una etnicità immaginata, Graphis, Bari 2000 and Poeti indiani del Novecento di lingua inglese (an anthology of Indian poetry in English, which he edited and translated), Supernova, Venice 1998. Articles in English include “Salman Rushdie’s Special Effects”, in Magic Realism and Contemporary Literatures in English, ed. Elsa Linguanti, Rodopi, Amsterdam 2000; “Post-Colonial Poetry in India: a Weather Report” in Routes of the Roots. Geography and Literature in the English Speaking Countries, ed. I.M. Zoppi, Bulzoni, Rome 1999; “Tommaso Salvini and the invention of Othello’s ethnicity” in William Shakespeare and Italy, edited by Holger Klein and Michele Marrapodi, Shakespeare Yearbook X, 1999; “The (Un)making of Saldin Chamcha.
