Scholarships will be awarded to 40 students participating in the program to support:

- participation in the program

- internships at VIU-affiliated institutions abroad

Only students from Italian Universities are eligible to apply for scholarships.

The program requires a full-time involvement for the students which includes attending the program courses, taking part in the VIU extra-curricular activities, attending seminars and carrying out research.

Accommodation will be supported through scholarships for the most deserving students.

Ca' Foscari and Iuav students will have the opportunity to reside on VIU campus, on the island of San Servolo,
for the entire duration of the semester.

If you are interested in residing on campus please tick off the accommodation box when filling out the Globalization Program application form.

The deadline for application for accommodation for Spring semester 2010 is December 5, 2009.

The students awarded with scholarships will pursue their research at Duke University, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Copenhagen Business School and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China on topics such as green design, industrial districts and eco-industrial parks in China, corporate social responsibility, sustainable urban development and delocalization of Italian firms in China. Following the internships the students will take part in a dissertation workshop aimed at the development of final dissertations based on the internships and research activities carried out during the program.

Eight students from the Spring 2009 Globalization Program are currently abroad carrying out their research.

In the framework of the project "Invest your talent in Italy" that is part of the operational agreement between ICE/Unioncamere with the support of Ministero Sviluppo Economico in cooperation with MAE, Venice International University offers to young graduates from India and Turkey the opportunity to take part in the courses of the Globalization Program. Two scholarships will be granted by ICE to graduate students or final year undergraduate students interested in studying globalization at VIU. Read more
