The new Made in Italy: young creative professionals re-think the Italian productive tradition. Venice International University and Circuito Off Venice International Short Film Festival launch a competition for movie directors, film makers and video creatives from all over the world, inviting them to reflect on what Made in Italy means.
For Venice International University the competition is an integral part of its research activities on new forms of innovation for Italian small and medium enterprises. Creativity and design are important factors in determining the competitiveness of firms. The way these "immaterial assets" are and will be used by companies in innovation processes is not so obvious.
The competition aims to explore, through the combination of new digital technologies and young creative talent, original ways to imagine and look at Made in Italy. The ability to master these means of communication is nowadays a crucial element when presenting to an international audience the complexity of Italian products as an original mix of tradition and innovation.
