The second training course organised in cooperation with the new Chinese Ministry for Environmental Protection (former SEPA) focuses on Multilateral Environmental Agreements.
The delegation composed of civil servants from several Provincial Environmental Protection Bureaus as well as research institutes has started a two weeks training course in Rome.During this period they will have the chance to understand the background and aims of some of the most important Environmental Agreements; these include the likes of the Kyoto Protocol, the Montreal Protocol and the Stockholm Convention just to name a few.
Through the lectures and site visits the application of these agreements in Italy and the European Union will be deeply discussed, together with voluntary actions aiming at incorporating environmental protection into industries' production processes.
