In the 2004 the 1st edition of the Course for Sustainability took place in Hungary (Budapest and Szentendre) and in Venice, at San Servolo Island.
5 training sessions were scheduled, involving government officials of six Central and Eastern European countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia:
