The International School of Subsidiarity - ISoS is a result of the collaboration among the London School of Economics and Political Science, Fondazione per la Sussidiarietà and ICeSD.
Due to the crisis of traditional patterns of governance, the principle of subsidiarity may be a formula for substantial democracy. Its potential is worth studying and developing, in order to establish structures and tools, at social, economic and political levels. These may be able to address, in an original way, the challenges of post- modernity.
The International School of Subsidiarity, drawing on the experience and expertise of leading international scholars, intends to position itself in Italy as a Training Center of Excellence and an advanced workshop.
The 2007 edition of the International School of Subsidiarity (ISoS) was held at VIU May 17 - 19, 2007 and focused on public utilities.
