VIU’s Dean Stefano Micelli presented the undergraduate semester.
During the event, which was open to the public, professors introduced Undergraduate courses to an audience of students of different nationalities including students from Ca' Foscari and Iuav: it is possibile for all students from members universities to freely participate in semester courses. There are also internship opportunities for students from the Venetian universities.
Participation in VIU courses by students from members universities is free.
Among the professors of the Fall Semester, Micheal Hardt from Duke University well known in Italy and in the USA for having written “Empire” together with Toni Negri (Harvard University Press, Cambridge, 2000), and Yossi Yzraely from Tel Aviv University, who is also a theater director and scriptwriter for movies screened by Israel TV.
Venice International University is an association of fourteen institutions and offers courses which are held in English and recognized for credit by the members universities.
Registration for courses will be open until 5pm, September 22, 2006.
