| Management of Innovation Summer School, Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP), July 30-August 3, 2007 The School is for young talents who want to develop their interdisciplinary capabilities for leading and promoting innovation. ASP students develop an interdisciplinary attitude to conceive, plan, implement and promote complex innovation projects that produce sustainable progress in economy, society and culture. The summer school is organized in cooperation with Venice International University, the European Patent Office and the Italian Ministry for Economic Development. | VIULIFE projects stimulate creativity of students The Spring 2007 semester concluded on June 1 with an exhibition of the final projects of the Nokia Only Planet Workshop: Innovating through Empathy. The workshop was part of the extra curricular VIULIFE program which gives students the opportunity to participate in creative projects while studying at VIU. Next semester VIULIFE will be a video project in which students will explore the "Islands of Creativity" of the Venetian lagoon. More: http://www.univiu.org/undergraduate/news/viulife |

| The Inner-Soul Island: Isolation and foolery, Vettor Pisani exhibition at Venice International University Vettor Pisani sees a balance between art and critical citation and the works on show offer a rich impasto of symbologies, alchemies, iconographies and contents where there is no continuity between the past and the present. The works focus on mourning and melancholy, such as Venere di Cioccolato (1970), Hermes (1975), L'addolorata (2007). | Contemporary art and innovative research combined in Mobile Journey, June 7-9, 2007 VIU regards contemporary art as an experimental space to be used to promote innovative forms of research. Mobile Journey was presented at VIU on June 7, and was a collateral event of the Venice Biennale. The project brought together international artists, Vodafone R&D engineers and VIU researchers under the talented guidance of curator Lorella Scacco.
