Shaul BassiLaurea in English Language and Literature (Ca’ Foscari). Dottorato in English Literature (Pisa and Florence). Studies at Berkeley and University of Liverpool. Ricercatore (Lecturer) in English and Post-colonial Literature at Ca’ Foscari. Has taught at Wake Forest University and University of California Study Abroad Programs in Venice. Taught at VIU in Spring 2002 and Fall 2004.
Editorial secretary of “Il Tolomeo”, journal of Post-colonial Literatures in English and French. Main fields of interest: Shakespeare and post-colonial theory and literature. Author of La metaorfosi di Otello. Storia di una etnicità immaginata, Graphis, Bari 2000 and Poeti indiani del Novecento di lingua inglese (an anthology of Indian poetry in English, which he edited and translated), Supernova, Venice 1998.
