Thursday 7th June 2007, together with the 52nd International Art Exhibition of the Biennale in Venice, the Island of San Servolo is the flood-lit stage of the appointments of Light on San Servolo.
Thanks to the cooperation between the Province of Venice, San Servolo Servizi and Veneziafiere, the second weekend of June will see the Island of San Servolo turning into a crossroads of cultures with exhibitions, performances and shows, with special attention paid to video art and author’s photography.
Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June
Veneziafiere presents the second edition of V|07 - Venice VideoArt Fair, an event exclusively dedicated to video, which this year will see the presence of the most dynamic international galleries involved in the dissemination of this language. Designed and directed by Raffaele Gavarro, V|07 will be inaugurated Friday 8th June at h. 5.00 pm, and running till 10.00 pm, while Saturday 9th June it will be open from 10.00 am till 7.00 pm. V|07 will be accompanied by a catalogue in two languages.
For a richer cultural offer, with the same opening hours than the Fair, several collateral events have been designed especially for this second edition of V|07.

Saturday 9th June h. 6.00 pm
The video installation by Dominik Lejman will be inaugurated in the fabulous park on San Servolo Island; it may be visited till Sunday 17th June. A catalogue in two languages will accompany the event, made possible with the cooperation and backing of the Polish Cultural Institute in Rome.
From 7th June to 31st July
San Servolo Servizi, in cooperation with the Province of Venice, after the photography exhibitions Italian Camera and Lampi sull’acqua. La città visibile, made in 2005 and 2006, is presenting this year Shot and go – A vision of today's international photography, an exhibition grouping the works of 15 emerging artists in the international art scene. Shot and go, with Raffaele Gavarro as its curator, will be inaugurated Thursday 7th June at h. 6.00 pm and will be open till 31th July. Shot and go will be accompanied by a bilingual catalogue.
