The participants of the seminar may choose from the following topics:

3. The Peers’ Liability for Uploading and Downloading from Peer-to-Peer File Sharing Networks
4. Invasion of Personal Privacy by Google Earth and Google Street View
5. Conclusion of Contracts on the Internet
6. Peculiarities Regarding the Use of General Terms and Conditions in the E-Commerce, Especially in Case of Online Auctions
7. The Absence of Intention during the Conclusion of a Contract on the Internet
8. The Accountability for Third Persons’ Actions in Connection with the Conclusion of a Contract on the Internet
9. The Conditions for Acting in One’s Commercial or Professional Capacity at Online Auctions
10. The Right of Withdrawal from Contracts Concluded on the Internet – Especially: Necessary Consumer Information
11. The Misuse of Credit Cards in Mail Order Transactions
The seminar will be held in English on the basis of German and – where applicable – European law. In advance, each participant will have to write a paper on his or her topic not exceeding 30 pages. This paper shall be sent to Professor Hager until May 3, 2008. During the seminar, each topic will be introduced by the respective participant by means of a lecture lasting 30 minutes. Afterwards, the topic will be discussed in detail.
